1. What server software are you running?
   Linux
   Our Linux server runs on RedHat 7.3, PHP 4.2.3, Perl 5, Phython.
   
   Windows
   Windows Server runs on Windows 2003, IIS, ASP, ASP.NET, PHP, Perl, CGI etc.
    
    
2. Can I access my domain address with or without the "www"?
   Yes, you will be able to access the domain address with or without the "www" in front of the domain name. Example: [http://www.your-name.com] or [http://your-name.com] is acceptable, whichever you prefer.
    
    
3. Can I transfer existing domain name to your servers?
   Yes, if you email us at support@vteksoft.com we will give you instructions on how to do this.
    
    
4. How much do you charge for domain transfers?
   We do not charge for transfers.

5. How long does it take before my domain name is active?
   Once the InterNIC announces that your domain name has been registered (or transferred, if applicable), it usually takes about 72-hours before it is active. All Internet providers must update their records (DNS tables) to reflect the new site's location.
    
    
6. When I order who will the domain be registered to?
   We always register domain names to the person listed on the order form.
    
    
7. How long does a domain name registration last for?
   For a .com .net or .org it is for the period you choose 1-10 years.
   
    
8. Can I use my hosting account for commercial purposes ?
   Yes, you can use your account for commercial purposes. The World Wide Web has become the most efficient and cost-effective means of making information available to the users of the Internet community and we encourage our customers to utilise such an enormous medium. We do not allow adult or pornographic materials on our servers.

   We offer unlimited bandwidth for each of the user accounts. Don't worry about the traffic. Go ahead with your site promotion activities.

    No! The price listed is the price that you will pay, all fees are included.

     

11. Which FTP software do you recommend?
    We recommend Cute FTP, or LeechFTP. You can download either one of these from http://www.download.com/ and access your site.

    Yes this is turned on by default.

    Yes, our server supports both Perl/CGI and PHP.
    
     
15. Do you support ASP?
    Yes, our windows server supports ASP and ASP.net scripts. file extension of the script should be ".asp" or ".asp.net" .
     
16. Do you support MS Access?
    Yes, our windows server supports MS Access database and you can make unlimited databases.

    Yes, our linux server supports PHP, Perl, MySQL database scripts. We do not provide troubleshooting and modifications of your scripts, this should be handled by the scripts developer/programmer.

    DNS and IP Address will be provided to you once you sign up our services.
    
     
20. Do you have front page extensions?
    Yes. Both our Linux and Windows server support Front Page Server Extensions.
